Is Your Computer Up to Date? – Here’s How to Check
To install the necessary updates, please follow these steps:
- Open Windows Update:
- Press Start or Windows Key + I to open Settings.
- In Settings, navigate to the bottom left and select Windows Update. (alt: click her to open)
- Click Check for updates. This will download and install the majority of the required updates for your computer.

Get the latest Windows Update
- Check for Driver Updates:
- On newer machines, driver updates may also appear under Windows Update.
- For older computers, you’ll need to use HP Support Assistant:
- Press the Windows Key and type HP Support Assistant.
- If it’s your first time opening the tool, skip through the initial prompts.
- Once in the dashboard, select Check for updates, then choose Install all from the drop-down.
